RPSC RAS Exams may addopt new paper pattern
Chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Sunday said a new pattern in Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) exams will be introduced soon. He said the RAC will adopt the method of annual calendar like Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various posts. He spoke about these changes while laying foundation stone of a guesthouse on the RAC headquarters premises. He emphasised the RPSC should adopt the pattern of UPSC to issue yearly calendar of recruitment so that the candidates who wanted to apply for certain posts should know about the examination and recruitment process. Gehlot said the commission had sent the proposal of changing the pattern of RAS examination considering the huge number of candidates who applied for the six hundred posts and the government will certainly work to pass the proposal.
Talking on the transparency in recruitment process, the chief minister said, “Without adopting e-governance in RPSC, the commission will not be able to complete e recruitment in time. The time has come when candidates should apply for posts on line and the commission send the examination card by e-mail and there is facility of on-line examination,” he said. Presiding over the function, the Union minister of state for IT and telecom, Sachin Pilot said his department is ready to help the commission by providing the server and IT facility for the recruitment process. The chairman of the RPSC K L Kumawat, said considering the large number of candidates applying for jobs it is necessary that the state government amend the process of RAS and help to increase posts in the commission.
