Candidates will be recruited on the basis of performance in written test. Age limit is 18-35 years. Panchayati Raj is a system of governance having 3 levels i.e. village, block and district. Gram panchayats are the basic units of administration
in this system.
It was adopted during the 1950s and 60s when laws were passed to form Panchayats in various states. The panchayats receive funds from local body grants, funds for implementation of centrally-sponsored schemes & funds released by the state governments. On 24 April 1993, the Constitutional Act, 1992 was come into force to give constitutional status to the Panchayati Raj institutions. Except Nagaland, Meghalaya and Mizoram, Panchayati Raj is existed in all states and all the Union Territories except Delhi.
